Important message from your BVE PTA:
Dear Bamber Valley Community,
Happy New Year! We hope you had a wonderful winter break and are feeling refreshed and ready for an exciting start to the new year.
We wanted to share a quick update about the upcoming PTA meeting. To allow time for a special collaboration between staff and families focused on supporting your child in reading (details to come soon!), we are rescheduling tomorrow’s meeting to Tuesday, January 28th, from 2:30 to 4:00 PM. We hope you can join us!
Also, save the date for our much-anticipated our VIP Dance on Friday, February 7th, from 6:00 to 8:00 PM. This special evening invites students to bring one VIP adult, whether it’s a parent, grandparent, aunt, uncle, or another loved one, to dance the night away and make some wonderful memories together.
We’re so excited to kick off the year with events and opportunities that bring our school community closer together. Thank you for your continued support of our PTA and all the ways you help make our school a great place to learn and grow.
Warmly,
Your Bamber Valley PTA
Welcome back, students! We hope you had a restful break. We're excited to see all the growth and learning that will happen in the remainder of the school year!

November - March open gym schedule is here! It's a great way to get kids out of the house and get some exercise.
**Please note that adults must remain on the gym floor with children. Sorry, older children are not allowed on the gym floor with children ages 0-11, and must remain supervised by their adult at all times. All children must be accompanied by an adult.**
Chilly temps are here to stay. We're sharing four quick tips to help keep students who walk to school in winter weather safe!

We had a great Kindergarten Kick-off Event last night at BVE! Lots of future Beavers and their families were escorted through the school by our ambassadors. Student ambassadors are such a great asset to our school and give the best tours. Students and families were impressed by their poise and knowledge about what it means to be a part of this Beaver family!
Check out this week's Bamber Broadcast for this week's lunch menu, student announcements, and positive winners. They also covered ways to participate in December's character trait of the month: CREATIVITY! We're so proud of the student's hard work and great attitudes. https://youtu.be/lFLMaSfzRfI
Don't forget to bring in your Hy-Vee receipts, or send them in with your kids. We have drop boxes or someone in the office can take them. For every $250.00 in receipts, BVE gets $1 from Hy-Vee. That might not sound like a lot but it sure adds up fast! Any receipt from September forward and is from a local Hy-Vee counts.
Tomorrow evening, 12/03 is Kindergarten Open House. If you know of any families with upcoming kindergartners, please let them know they are welcome to come for a presentation and a tour from 5:00-6:00.
To ensure smooth early pick-up and accurate attendance recording:
A parent or guardian should contact the school office before the start of the school day or as soon as possible to inform them of their child's absence. You may call the main office or attendance line (507-328-3031), use the Skyward portal, or send a written note with your student. Informing their teacher is always appreciated but should be second to informing the office.
Please provide the following information:
Student Name
Reason For Absence/Tardy
Time of early pick-up or late drop-off
Any other instructions that would be helpful
